Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson - born Jacqueline Luesby to Chris Watson and Jacqueline Luesby, two British lawyers, was born on July 8, 1989 in Paris. When she was just five years old, she moved to Oxfordshire and enrolled at an Oxfordshire-based Dragon School. Emma's dream was to become an actor. When she was six, she joined the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch and took lessons on singing, acting, and dancing. When she was 10 years old, Emma took part in a variety of Stagecoach plays and productions. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) The movie adaptation of J.K. Rowlings bestselling novel was filmed for very first time back in the year 1999. Emma was discovered through Emma's Oxford Theater teacher. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone and Ron Weasley told Emma after eight auditions that she had been chosen for these roles. The cast included Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's first screen appearance was Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's release in the year 2001. The film was also the most successful film in 2001. The opening weekday and weekend ticket sales were record-breaking. Film critics praised the film as well as the performance of three leading actors of the young generation. The Daily Telegraph, a well-read British newspaper, was awed by her for her outstanding performance. Emma later won five awards in recognition of her work in the movie.
