MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin pop mainstream is influenced by his global impact. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 was awarded an Colombian Kids Choice Award as Favorite Song for the year 2017. His debut album ADN was issued by La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution company. The album reached number 8 in the Top Latin Albums Chart. He then joined Ozuna for his Top Five smash Vaina Loca. The group released Dopamina, his chart-topping second album, in the years following. In 2021, he sang an duet with TINI's popular single Maldita Foto. He appeared in 2023 with 2000, featuring the smash hit La Bachata. Turizo is a musician born in a home with a music program. His mother and brother also played the guitar. In interviews he has described participating in music as compulsory. As a child, he played the ukulele guitar and the piano. In spite of initially wanting to become a veterinarian, Julian convinced him that learning with a Cuban singing teacher would change the direction of his profession.
